Today started out with a weekly chore, shaking out our stack of shikibutons and flipping them over. Our bed takes a bit of work each week, often I think we both wonder why we chose this traditional Japanese style bed. One thing I am happy about, is the simplicity of it and the 100% organic cotton/local wool used to make our stack of shikibutons. I splurged and bought a set of new organic cotton sheets last week, so after a bit of shaking and weird maneuvering our bed was back together and looking better then ever. My day then began...
My sweet friend Mali sent me a little package with the
boat print I ordered from her
Etsy shop last week. It arrived last night and I could not stop admiring all the pretty illustrations she sent. If you are looking for some new awesome prints to put on your wall then check out her
shop. Her "
little lost zine" is amazing, I wanna rip out each page and pin it to my wall. A highlight of my week!
and then my new organic cotton/hemp striped fabric arrived! It is such a lovely material. I want to make a million dresses and shirts out of it. But first a scarf is in order. It inspired me to write down all my thoughts on my summer 2013 collection. Though I am slowly realizing that my body might not have the energy to do a whole new collection. I have about 6 weeks left of serious work before I think my body will say enough. But hopefully I can get a few new designs done and colors out and ready before July comes. Well off to bed I go and still the sky is bright, such a pretty time of year.
